Inside the ACH factory: sixty hands per pair
Share
Every pair that leaves our Cairo factory passes through more than sixty hands. That is not a slogan — it is how the line is organised, the same way it has been since 1980.
Cutting
Hides are inspected and clicked by cutters who know how to read a skin — where it stretches, where it scars, which panels can carry the vamp and which are for linings.
Closing
Uppers are stitched, skived and reinforced. Eyelets, gores and counters go in here. A closed upper has to be exact: a millimetre off at this stage shows up twice as large on the last.
Lasting
The upper is pulled over the last and takes its final shape — the moment a flat pattern becomes a shoe. Heat, tension and time settle the leather.
Finishing
Soles are attached, edges dressed, surfaces cleaned and polished. Quality control checks every pair before boxing.
This is the process behind every wholesale and private label order we produce. Nothing leaves the factory that we would not put our own name on.
